Skills for Life Programme Facilitator

We are now seeking a skilled Programme Facilitator to deliver a series of 8 x 4-week programmes to remand prisoners at Spring Hill Prison with set dates running from August 2025 through June 2026. 

The role involves coordinating and delivering the following two Skills for Life linked modules:

  • Te Whare Tapa Wha
  • Pae Ora

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Overseeing the referrals and allocation of Tane to the programme 
  • Leading group facilitation of the Skills for Life Programme 
  • Providing effective and professional group-based life skills education in line with the Skills for Life programme model
  • Gather feedback, review and further refine the Skills for Life programme material 
  • Liaise and maintain relationships with Corrections staff to ensure effective delivery of the Skills for Life programme 

Each cohort includes 4 weeks of Te Whare Tapa Wha followed by 4 weeks of Pae Ora. Programmes are designed to be engaging and impactful, running Monday to Friday with focused afternoon and Friday morning sessions as follows:

  • Monday to Thursday: 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm (10 hours/week)
  • Friday: 9:00 am – 11:00 am (2 hours/week)

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience delivering educational programmes
  • Ability to manage and deliver modules consistently across multiple cohorts
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to adhere to fixed schedules
  • The ability to work 17 hours per scheduled week including 12 hours programme facilitation
