We are currently seeking a Support Worker to join our residential team based in Royal Oak. The available days and hours are as follows:

Sunday 7.45am – 3.45pm
Monday 6.45am – 2.45pm
Tuesday 9.00am – 5.00pm
Wednesday 1.15pm - 9.15pm
Thursday 1.15pm - 9.15pm

The Te Wairua programme operates under a unique residential-based Therapeutic Community. You will be providing support to tāngata whai ora (people seeking wellness) as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Our ideal applicants will have:

  • Previous experience working as a Support Worker, or similar role
  • A level 4 Certificate in Health and Care (or willing to work towards completing this)
  • A willingness to learn about and embrace the Therapeutic Community (TC) model
  • Strong communication and relationship skills
  • An interest in Māori and Pasifika people’s customs and cultural norms
  • Experience of working in the addictions or mental health field (desirable)
  • A full NZ Driver's Licence
  • Reliability, honesty and common sense are also essential qualities

In return we offer:

  • Salary $55,494 - $63,814.40 depending on qualifications and experience
  • $2500 annual after hours allowance + car parking
  • Paid meal breaks + free meals/ fruit + paid study leave
